Besides the illustration works, I’ve been teaching drawing for almost two months already. Honestly it’s my first try to teach a private drawing class, but it turns out to be really good. My student enjoys the class all the time and keeps improving. I also learned to keep the task interesting while challenging. I’m expecting my second kid so for right now I have no plan to take more students, but I’m seriously considering that maybe during fall I’ll open my drawing studio for beginner art lovers. It’s so enjoyable to share tips of doing arts with young art lovers and help them do better and enjoy more.
Well, sorry for being SOOOO quiet for the past 5 months! (FIVE months already! Time flies!!) Here are some quick updates. We moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Des Moines, Iowa, yep, big change 🙂 I’ve just finished two children’s books and here is some sneak peek of the illustrations. Working on another new children’s book currently, hope I can get it done next month! Change, Challenge and Creativity! I’ll keep you guys posted! 🙂
Cannot believe it’s already mid October! Autumn is right on the corner. Pumpkins, Halloween, holiday season, birthdays of two of my beloved family members… Tons of stuff ahead. And of course, drawing, painting, doodles, picture books… Hope this is a fruitful season to everyone!

I’ve been pulling out some of my original artworks of black and white drawings with watercolor touch for sale, hand painted and on 9×12 fine art paper. I’ll keep posting artwork in this series. Please feel free to drop me a message if you are interested in purchasing the artwork or a custom order for similar style.
I decide to use the name given by Linda, “Soaring”, which comes with an air balloon soaring in the unlimited sky, it’s so like a fairy tale!
Well this piece is the 2nd part of a 3 set commissioned work. Looking forward to the 3rd one! Have been working on it for long time. Sometimes it’s struggling sometimes it comes so easy. No matter how much time it takes to complete one piece, one thing is for sure, quality comes with love. So do enjoy the process and the journey to the “result”.
