Stories & story books have always been the best source of learning with fun for the kids. The characters, if defined properly, become their friends & they learn all the valuable things about life from such story books. Parents connect better with their kids by reading stories to them & find a way to inculcate good habits in them in a fun filled way. Author Helen H. Wu, has come up with a perfect story book collection gift for the kids called “Marcus The Monkey”, with a happy, lovable monkey ready to befriend the kids. She has started a crowd funding campaign to publish this book.

Reportedly, “Marcus The Monkey” is a collection of four original stories by Helen, illustrated in a beautiful manner. It’s a coffee table children’s picture book about a happy & adventurous monkey who loves to go out on adventures & learn new things. The stories are intended to be interesting, entertaining, full of humor as well as capable of forwarding good messages & warm values. The detailed presentation of the characters & a full color illustration makes every page very attractive & engaging.

This 160 page, full color kid’s picture book comes in a 9*12 Vertical Hardcover. The stories in it titled as “Good Night, Good Night” & “It’s Time To Eat” have earlier also been listed on Amazon & received really warm reviews & feedbacks from the parents. They have termed both of these books very entertaining, loving & helpful in teaching good sleeping & eating habits in their kids through their friend, Marcus, the monkey. The other two stories in this collection are, “Where Do They Go When It Rains” & “I Can Sleep Alone”. All four of these are Helen’s original work. This new collection has more refined version of these stories along with added detailed illustrations.

As reported, this book is a perfect gift from Helen to early readers, parents, teachers & educators& everyone else who appreciates family, friends, animals & nature. With this collection, readers also get original sketches of illustrations, tips of turning an idea into a picture book & much more.

Helen H. Wu , born & raised in Hefei, China, has always been inclined towards art. She travelled many places in Asia, Europe, North America & learned new cultures & values. She opened her own art studio & started illustrating children’s book in 2011. With this collection, she wishes to publish it on a larger scale & thus has started a fundraising campaign on “Kickstarter” & has offered rewards for the backers. She is positive about being backed up by the people in this endeavor of hers.

Meet Mr. Fox with Redy and Bluey! The forest is vast and full of adventure in creative inspiration for people such as myself. You can see from my illustration here clear incentive of the trees, rivers, meadow, and stones. I wish I could see more of the color spectrum like other animals and creatures can, just imagine how much we are missing out on! The forest is a great inspiration for me, and so are the lovely and adorable animals and spirits living in!

Oh I almost forgot to mention, that my favorite song about fox is “What does the fox say” It’s such an insane song! Just cannot stop listening to it time and time again! 🙂

What inspires you most from life? Is it, nature or a book/movie or someone in your daily life even? Let me know!

A New Book

Here’s a sneak peek at what I am currently working on.  A new book!

It’s another book from “Redy and Bluey” series, and it’s a wordless picture book!

I’m a big fan of wordless picture books, to name several of my favorites, Journey by Aaron Becker , Tuesday by David Wiesner,  The Lion & the Mouse by Jerry PinkneyRainstorm by Barbara Lehman Though these wordless picture books tell different stories, they share one thing in common – full of imagination! The illustrations themselves lead readers through and open people’s mind. Sometimes I even feel they are more suitable for adults – kids might find fun and enjoyable to flip through those beautiful pages, but adults can really admire the phrase and the imaginary world built up by only illustrations.

Feel free to share with me your favorites wordless picture books!
